Winer ranted.  Pilgrim parodied.  I admired. Winer napalmed.  The results were predictable.

Results:

• One blog entry's comment thread become useless.  No problem, I can create more.  ;-)
• Useful discussion continued on other threads.
• Trackback emerged as a useful way of establishing identity.
