Curious Incident

Joel Spolsky: I must warn you not to start reading it before you go to sleep because nobody I know has been able to put it down without reading through to the end.

And Joel still doesn't.  I picked up this book this afternoon.

Aspergers is sometimes referred to as the "Geek Syndrome" since so many techy parents have children with Aspergers.

I intend to read this as well.  Interesting to note, however, that I've seen a number of negative comments on the book (on mailing lists) from autistic people.  The consensus in (at least a subset of) that community seems to be that the book is not credible in part because it was written by a "neurotypical" (i.e., a non-autistic person) and also becuase it doesn't speak to their own experience of their internal state.
