As Danny O’Brien noted, Ruby seems to have found some sort of shortcut through Gandi’s four step program; traversing directly from step 1 to step 4 in approximately three weeks.
Many attribute this to Rails.
At OSCON, I was able to score a copy of Agile Web Development with Rails, and I am working my way through the book.
That’s really disturbing... I’ll have to spend the whole day getting that image out of my mind!

Maybe we need some way of resolving the namespace conflict, ruby-lang and ruby-person?
All we need now is a ruby project called ‘sam’ then it will get to be really fun.
It’d be great to have you playing with ruby, name space conflicts aside.
