Robert Scoble: Phil Burns is totally in my camp, saying “I HATE partial text feeds,” but then goes even further than me and chides folks for not offering BOTH full and partial text feeds. Atom lets you do that explicitly

Why do people need to be in one “camp” or the other?

For entries that are longer than a few paragraphs, I prefer a summary.  Bloglines gives me that choice, via Display Preferences.

I use Bloglines to present my subscriptions in a River of News view.  I click with my middle mouse button on entries that catch my interest in order to open the full entry in a tab.  Once I complete my initial scan, I go back and read each tab.

Other consumers may prefer full text.  That’s a valid choice too.

I say, let the consumer choose.
