Jonathan Schwartz: JAVA is a technology whose value is near infinite to the internet, and a brand that’s inseparably a part of Sun (and our profitability). And so next week, we’re going to embrace that reality by changing our trading symbol, from SUNW to JAVA.

A year or two later, and it could have been ROCK. ;)

I see that you made the Java mascot a link to It appears that you can only click on the lines (including the actual links in the chain) and not any of the whitespace. I wonder if you could define a solid fill inside the lines of the svg object to make the whole mascot clickable. As it is it isn’t as noticeable.
