It appears inevitable that every successful protocol will be usurped by RPC.The current incarnation of this is AJAX

• SAJAX maps all function calls to HTTP GET
  • URIs don't simply identify resources, they identify services and parameters
  • "Bust cache in the head": Expires, Last-Modified, Cache-Control, Pragma
• Expect a new range of exploits whereby unsuspecting bots and mothers everywhere will be tricked into modifying databases by following a simple link
