Given just PermaLinks, how does one find the WellFormedEntry that describes the link?
Common approaches:
-
HTML 'link' element -- for HTML resources
-
ExtensibleMetadataPlatform -- for many media types
-
ContentNegotiation -- asking the web server to give alternative representations of a resource
-
opinions are divided on whether metadata is an "alternate representation" of the described resource
-
Replace an extension (like .jpg or .html) with a metadata extension (like .meta or .rdf)
-
opinions are similarly divided on this approach, partly because it's comparible to ContentNegotiation and partly because many resources do not have "extensions"
-
use of a site description resource at a well known location (like '[...]/site.meta')
[GuilleBe] Could the filename or relative URI of the feed be suggested in the spec? so we agree on $baseurl/feed.xml ie. Of course, this should be just a sugestion, as feeds should be allowed to have any URI you like.

[TomasJogin] Suggested, I agree. "feed.xml" is a bit undescriptive though, that could just aswell be an RSS feed. But something in the lines of necho.xml -- or whatever it will be called -- would work.
